Daniela Ruah posted a cute picture on Instagram to commemorate her mother’s birthday. The mother-daughter pair in the photo took a selfie in front of a pier. Daniela was dressed in a rust-colored shirt and a color-blocked cardigan, while her mother, Caterina, wore a forest green velour top with a matching sunhat.
Caterina expressed her gratitude with a heartfelt reply, saying, “Many thanks! I love you to infinity and beyond.” Fans flooded the comments with the Spanish adjective “linda,” meaning “beautiful,” to describe Caterina.
Keeping her personal life discreet, Daniela recently went to Portugal with her husband, David Paul Olsen, who is the brother of her co-star Eric Christian Olsen on NCIS. They saw stunning beaches, historic neighborhoods dating back hundreds of years, and even attended a cooking class to learn how to prepare Pastéis de Nata, a famous Portuguese dessert of custard tarts. When they returned, she uploaded a video collage of their special moments and said she loved Portugal.
Daniela has also been actively involved in the recent SAG-AFTRA actors’ strike, as have her fellow NCIS cast members. To demand fairer treatment and equitable compensation in the entertainment sector, they have joined the picket lines.
The NCIS actor Brian Dietzen, who portrays Jimmy Palmer, also expressed his support for the strike. He underlined the value of union rights, particularly in obtaining residual payments that give him and his spouse the necessary health insurance. Brian expressed his love for his colleagues and the pride he feels in standing by them during the strike, emphasizing that they are eager to return to the stage once a fair agreement is reached.
