Iran launched dozens of ballistic missiles toward Israel on Friday night in retaliation for Israelās surprise attack early Friday.
Israel struck at the heart of the Iranās nuclear program, killing several nuclear scientists as well as high-ranking military leaders, according to Israeli officials.
The U.S. did not provide any military assistance or have any involvement in the Israeli strike, a U.S. official told ABC News.

Israel says at least 1 dead, over 41 injured; Iran claims 78 killed, over 300 injured
Amid the ongoing Iranian attacks on Israel, at least one woman has died and 41 people were injured, an Israeli emergency services spokesperson said in a statement.
In remarks before the UN Security Council, Iranian Ambassador Amir Saeid Iravani claimed that 78 people had been killed in Israeli attacks across Iran ā using the term āmartyredā ā and that another 320 had been injured.
IDF to resume strikes on Iran
The IDF says fighter jets āare set to resume striking targets in Tehranā.
Earlier, the IDF, summarizing overnight strikes, said they had damaged and would ācontinue to damageā strategic sites in Iran.
āOvernight, the IAF struck dozens of targets, including surface-to-air missile infrastructure, as part of the effort to damage the Iranian Regimeās aerial defense capabilities in the area of Tehran.ā
DF intercepts more UAVs, continues striking Iran
The IDF says they are ācontinuing to strike targetsā in Iran and that they have also intercepted multiple UAVs launched from Iran on Saturday morning, according to a statement.
Meanwhile, emergency services say that two people, a man and woman, were killed overnight when a strike hit ānear private homes,ā also injuring 19 others,Ā bringing the death toll from Iranās retaliatory strikes to three people.
